DIFFERENT STORIES Picture Books – Visit to Mashtots Publishing Foundation, Yeghegnadzor
In the framework of regional visits of DIFFERENT STORIES Picture Books project on June 17th ARI Literature Foundation team visited Vayots Dzor region, the city of Yeghegnadzor where we were hosted by Mashtots Publishing Foundation to present the books “I Speak Through Dancing” and “The Champion” published as part of the project.
Two meetings were held, first with schoolchildren and then with teachers.
The guests of the meeting were schoolchildrem and teachers of Yeghegnadzor middle school N2, as well as teachers from Aghnjadzor, Taratumb, Arpi.
Before the reading, we talked with the children about their interests, habits, and their relationships with disabled children around them. We also talked with the sschoolchildren about their dreams, goals, future profession choice.
Then there was a meeting with the teachers. During the conversation, they mentioned the importance of such projects and hoped that similar books encouraging kindness and care for animals would also be created. They noted that there is a great need for it.
