DIFFERENT STORIES Picture Books - launch of the project

On 26 April the DIFFERENET STORIES Picture Books project, which is being implemented with the assistance of the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) grant extended by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of U.S. Department of State has been launched.

The opening of the program took place at the Artbridge bookstore-café with participation of Arevik Ashkharoyan, Director of the ARI Literature Foundation, Gayane Aghabalyan, the author of the books, Armenuhi Avagyan, project adviser and psychologist, Hayk Hobosyan, the protagonist of the book “I speak through dancing”, as well as the children from the Yerevan special educational complex for children with hearing impairments and students of the 4th grade of the Primary School No. 176 after Gurgen Mahari.

he event took place in a very friendly and warm atmosphere, during which the children read the books, asked their questions to Hayk, and started communicating with each other with the help of an interpreter.

The Yerevan presentation will be followed by the book launches in Gyumri and Vanadzor.
