Christopher Atamian is a New York-based writer, filmmaker, translator and editor. He has written for leading publications such as The Los Angeles Review of Books, The Huffington Post, The New Criterion and The New York Times Book Review and concentrated exclusively on Armenian culture at www.yevrobatsi.com and The Armenian Mirror-Spectator. His first book of verse, “A Poet in Washington Heights” was nominated for a National Book Award and received the 2017-18 Tölölyan Literary Prize. He has translated six books from French and Armenian into English and most recently co-edited a volume on Bedros Keljik, “Armenian-American Sketches” on Fresno State press. In 2023, his translation of Denis Donikian’s “Trashland” will appear on Nauset Press in the spring and his first novel Manhattan Boy will appear in late winter. Atamian is  an alumnus of Harvard University, Columbia Business School and USC Film School. He is a former Fulbright Fellow and a 2015 Ellis Island Medal of Honor recipient.
