DIFFERENT STORIES Picture Books – Meeting with Teach for Armenia teachers
In the framework of regional visits of DIFFERENT STORIES Picture Books project ARI Literature Foundation team and Gayane Aghabalyan had a meeting with Teach for Armenia teachers to present the books “I Speak Through Dancing” and “The Champion” published as part of the project.
After presenting the books to the guests of the meeting, we talked with the teachers about the importance of the method of telling children about inclusiveness through books. We also discussed reading promotion programs, the contents of list of literature meant for summer holiday reading.
The pros and cons, complications and advantages of introducing inclusion in educational institutions were also discussed.
