The Armenian translation and Presentation of Yan Shenkman's Here In Yerevan published by ARI Press

In December 2024, the Armenian translation of Yan Shenkman’s Here in Yerevan was published by ARI Press. Originally it was written in Russian and was published earlier in 2024. But after the great success of the book there was an evident necessity to translate the book into Armenian. Ans as Yan mentions in his speech, it is not a translation into a foreign language, but into the language it should have been written and read in.

The translator of the book is Anna Baghramyan.

Presentation

On December 15th, the presentation of the Armenian translation of the book took place at Epigraph bookstore. The founder of ARI Literature Foundation Arevik Ashkharoyan talked about the cooperation with the author and the birth of the idea to publish the book in Armenian. The greetings and words of gratitude by the author an translator were followed by the readings of the several excerpts of both Russian and Armenian variants of the book. Karine Dulyan, the author of the cover, also delivered a speech. Then floor was given to the audience for Q&A.
